The Spring House is offered on a 6.7-acre parcel in a private enclave called The Highlands in Bethel, NY. Nestled in the hills behind gated entrances, this 127-acre private community consists of 23 impeccably curated home-sites. It is perfectly situated in the Catskills only 1.5 hours from New York City. The destination towns of Callicoon, Livingston Manor, and Narrowsburg are all in close proximity, and Bethel Woods Center for the Performing Art, which is the site of the original Woodstock Music Festival is only 2.5 miles away. The homesite itself contains varied terrain, from densely wooded areas to open fields, and boasts its own private pond which used to be the water source for the surrounding farms. There are many old stone foundations that dot the site and a vernacular stone springhouse is centrally located on the lot. This unique archeological structure inspired us to name our building plan the Spring House.
